En la reciente 1ª JORNADA 2019, DEL COMITÉ EJECUTIVO DEL GLCC., celebrada en Talca, Chile los días 5 y 6 de Enero de 2019, el Padre CARLOS SERRANO presentó su renuncia a su servicio como Asesor Eclesiástico del GLCC.
Las razones para esta determinación, como las explicó el propio Padre Carlos, obedecen exclusivamente a motivos de salud, ya que por prescripción médica estaría imposibilitado físicamente para seguir prestando este servicio.
Frente a esta situación y en el espíritu de comunión, participación e integración que el GLCC 2018-2021 ha definido para su gestión, el Padre Carlos, "luego de rezarlo mucho pidiendo al Señor las luces del Espíritu Santo, de consultarlo con dirigentes y sacerdotes de algunos países del GLCC, y de poner su situación en conocimiento del Secretariado Nacional de Chile, propuso al Comité Ejecutivo del GLCC. que se invitara a prestar el servicio de ASESOR ECLESIASTICO DEL GLCC en su reemplazo al Padre JORGE ALBERTO FARFAN MIGUEL.
El Padre Farfán, sacerdote argentino de trayectoria en el MCC., con un vasto conocimiento del Movimiento, cuya fidelidad al Carisma Original, a la Mentalidad y a la Finalidad de los Cursillos ha quedado comprobada a lo largo del tiempo, ha venido acompañando de hecho y colaborando estrechamente con el P. Carlos durante el año recién pasado cuando este no ha podido estar presente por motivo de su salud.
Acogiendo la propuesta del Padre Carlos, y reconociendo los méritos personales y antecedentes del P. Jorge, entre los cuales están además el de haber sido Asesor Eclesiástico del GLCC, cuando este fue servido por Argentina en el período 2010-2013, y el ser actualmente Vice Asesor Eclesiástico del Organismo Mundial del Movimiento de Cursillos de Cristiandad (OMCC), el Comité Ejecutivo del GLCC, por la UNANIMIDAD de sus integrantes ha acordado su nominación como nuevo ASESOR ECLESIASTICO DEL GRUPO LATINOAMERICANO DE CURSILLOS DE CRISTIANDAD, situación que ha sido ya notificada oficialmente por el propio Padre Carlos a los Secretariados del GLCC
El Comité Ejecutivo del GLCC, junto con agradecer la gestión del P. Carlos, quien de acuerdo a sus posibilidades se ha comprometido a seguir colaborando con este, ha invitado a los dirigentes y cursillistas, particularmente de los países del GLCC, a acompañar con sus oraciones al Padre Jorge en sus nuevas responsabilidades.

At the recent First Meeting of 2019, of the Executive Committee of the GLCC, held in Talca, Chile, from 5th to 6th January 5, Fr. Carlos Serrano presented his resignation from his service as Spiritual Advisor of the GLCC.
The reasons for this decision, as explained by Fr. Carlos himself, are exclusively related to his health condition which, according to his doctor’s advice, would prevent him from continuing to perform his function.
Therefore, in the spirit of communion, participation and integration that the GLCC 2018-2021 has defined for its term, after praying to the Lord for the lights of the Holy Spirit, consulting other leaders and priests from some members countries of the GLCC, and bringing his problem to the attention of the National Secretariat of Chile, Fr. Carlos, proposed to the Executive Committee of the GLCC that Fr. Jorge Alberto Farfán Miguel should be invited to replace him.
Fr. Jorge Farfán, an Argentine priest with a thorough knowledge and experience in the Cursillo Movement, and whose fidelity to the Original Charism, to the Mentality and to the Purpose of the Cursillos has been proven over time, has been collaborating closely with Fr. Carlos since the past year, representing him at the events he could not attend because of his health.
Accepting the proposal of Fr. Carlos, and recognizing Fr. Jorge’s personal merits and experience, that includes the same function of Spiritual Advisor of the GLCC in Argentina, in the period 2010-2013, and his current capacity as Assistant Spiritual Advisor of the OMCC, the Executive Committee of the GLCC has unanimously agreed to appoint him as the new Spiritual Advisor of the GLCC, being Fr. Carlos himself in charge of officially informing the National Secretariats of the GLCC of the appointment.
The Executive Committee of the GLCC thanking the services rendered by Fr. Carlos, who has committed himself to keep collaborating according to his possibilities, has invited the Cursillistas and CM leaders, particularly those from the GLCC countries, to assist Fr. Jorge in his new responsibilities, with their support and prayers.
